Community event —Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame hosting Hockey Legend Theoren Fleury

October 3, 2018

Did you know that Chilliwack has a Sports Hall of Fame that celebrates and commemorates our community’s sporting excellence?

The Hall of Fame, located on the concourse of Prospera Centre, holds an annual sports dinner to induct it’s Hall of Fame class, and to raise funds.

This year the Chilliwack Sport hall of Fame is bringing in Hockey legend Theoren Fleury as a keynote speaker to share his fascinating and inspirational story, on Thursday, Nov. 22 at the Tzeachten Hall, Chilliwack.

A Stanley Cup champion and Olympic gold medalist on the ice, Fleury has also lived an incredible life away from the rink, surviving sexual abuse by his junior hockey coach Graham James and recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.

He shares his inspirational story of resilience, determination, and redemption with audiences across Canada.

Part of the proceeds raised from the event will go to Chilliwack Community Services —a local agency which provides support to youth who are homeless, struggle with drugs and alcohol, are street entrenched and/or sexually exploited.

Tickets are $125 or $1,000 for a table of 8. PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE
